BIO

Originally from Portugal (1980), Ricardo Dourado finished their school in CITEX at Porto in 2003. Since 2004, Ricardo Dourado presents his work in Moda Lisboa Fashion Week, also is part of the design team of Polopique, fashion company, with studios in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.

In their new, but already large cv, stands out, not only for his projects in the studios of Osvaldo Martins (2004), Lidija Kolovrat and finally the studio of Helena de Matos in which incorporated the design of collections for companies as Arco Textiles and LMA,

After that he opt to create her own atelier, in the historical center of the city of Oporto, where, with the help of two collaborators had work in industrial projects for companies like Iconotex, MTP, TRL, Malhinter, Onara, Noronhas and Eical (2004 - 2007)

Also with a regular cooperation in the area of styling with the magazine "Search" and with the designer Júlio Dolbeth along with the enthusiastic participation in tenders for design and fashion like "European Fashion Awards" (Milan 2006), "New Blood" (ModaLisboa 2003 ), "Port Fashion Awards" (Porto 2003), "Young Creators 01" (Coimbra 2002) and "New Talent Optimus" (Lisbon 2001).

Has being present in exhibitions such as "Showcase +" (ModaLisboa 2004), "Custom Eyes" (Fabrica Features - Lisbon, Bologna, and Osaka 2004) and "The City dress" (Porto 2001 - European Capital of Culture).

In order to complement the knowledge, has attended courses in diverse areas, especially "Design is a risk" of the current cycle of Contemporary Studies, sponsored by the Serralves Foundation, the Museum of Contemporary Art.
